There are 176 riders registered for the 91st Piccolo Giro di Lombardia, the international cycling classic for the Under 23 category scheduled for Sunday 6th October in Oggiono (Lecco).
Also this year the Velo Club Oggiono, the company that organizes the event, can boast a starting grid of absolute value, with the best young talents of world cycling who will compete on the roads of Brianza.
The number 1 is up to the world champion Samuele Battistella who will be the beacon of the race with his rainbow jersey. The European champion Alberto Dainese and the Italian champion Marco Frigo will also be in the race. But there are so many opponents who aspire to ultimate success.
THE FOREIGNERS - Among the most important names are the Norwegian Tobias Foss, winner of the Tour de l'Avenir, the Belgians Johan Jacobs, second at the Paris-Roubaix Espoirs, Viktor Verschaeve, second in the Liege-Bastogne-Liege U23, the Hungarian Valter Attila, the German champion Leon Henschke, the French champion Theo Delacroix, the Belgian Mauri Vansevenant, who this year won the Tour of Valle d'Aosta, the other transalpine talents Clement Champoussin (third a year ago) and Nicolas Prodhomme, the Russian champion Valerii Fatkullin and that of Great Britain Charlie Quarterman.
ITALIANS - The Italian patrol can count not only on the world champion Battistella, but above all on Andrea Bagioli (second last year) and winner of the Ronde de l'Isard, Filippo Conca from Lecco and Kevin Colleoni from Bergamo, Alessandro Monaco, Christian Scaroni, Giovanni Aleotti and the art son Edoardo Faresin.

THE RACE - The meeting for the preliminary operations and the verification of the licenses is scheduled from 8.00 am in the headquarters of the Bank BCC Brianza and Laghi in via Lazzaretto 15 / A in Oggiono. From 10.30 am the presentation of all the participating teams in Piazza Manzoni. The official start will be given in Viale Vittoria at 11.55.
In total the riders will have to travel 176 km, drawn between the provinces of Lecco, Como, Monza Brianza and Bergamo. The protagonists of Lombardia baby will have to face the climbs of Bevera, Sirtori, Madonna del Ghisallo (754 altitude, the competition's roof). In the final passages on Colle Brianza (going up to an altitude of 588) and Marconaga di Ello will be decisive. Arrival is in Viale Vittoria around 4.15pm.

Sunday 6th October it will be possible to follow the Piccolo Giro di Lombardia also in live video streaming thanks to the production of BICITV in synergy with the Velo Club Oggiono. From 10.30 to 12 for the preliminary stages and from 14.30 to 16.30 for the main moment of the competition, it will be possible to follow the live streaming on the website www.bicitv.it, on the BICITV Youtube channel, on the BICITV Facebook page and on the Piccolo Giro di Lombardia Facebook page.
On TV will be broadcast on TeleUnica, digital terrestrial Channel 12 (Lecco) - Channel 193 (Sondrio and Lombardia). In addition, a maxi-screen will be installed in Piazza Sironi to allow even the public on site to follow the live broadcast.
